My Bad

My goal of my weekly update has failed, for now. I am still aspiring to achieve a consistent weekly post, but you all know me! HA!

I actually worked really really hard on this awesome blog of our trip to the Tulip Festival back at the beginning of the month. However everytime I clicked the publish button, all my hard work was lost and nothing was ever posted ! Ugh! It was so frustrating! So my payback to blogspot was to ignore it for the rest of the month! I sure showed him! ha!

So at the start of a new month, which can anyone else believe its freakin June already?, I recommitt to the weekly blog! Wish me luck!

A Few Funny Stories

Last night Dylan and I were cuddling. He asked me to scratch his back. Which is unusal cause when ever I've tried to scratch his back before he hasn't liked it. Yet last night he asked me to do so. So i started scratching his back, he said "ahhhh to the left". So i scratched to the left. Then he said, "ahhhh to the right". So i scratched to the right. With which he followed with...."Ahhh yeah that's right!" He's such a little man!! SOOOO cute!

The other day both Dylan and Anya were running laps in the house, nothing out of the ordinary. Dylan ran to the couch first so he cheered, "I win!". Anya finally caught up and also cheered, "I win!", "No Anya, you lose!" Dylan corrected. Anya once again threw her hands up in the air and just as excitedly cheered, "I lose!!!" They go back and forth all the time now! Even in the car they'll go back and forth on who won and who lost, but luckily there isn't any bickering. Good thing Anya is a good sport!!!

Our 2009 Graduate!!

We are proud to announce the graduation of our very own Grandma!! That's right.. my mom graduated this last weekend it was soooo exciting!! On Thursday we attended the commencement ceremony at Brigham Young University. The kids and I left with plenty time to spare but completely underestimated the size of most lds families. The traffic was outrageous!! Luckily we made it on time! All my brothers and some of their girlfriends were able to attend. It was so nice to have that support there for my mom. Friday at 8am!! was her convocation ceremony. We are still trying to figure out who planned the times of each convocation, because who ever thought it was a good idea to get all the humanities students together at 7am. does not know much about those students!! Once again we made it on time, with plenty of time to spare and we even had some awesome seats!! Congratulations Mom! We're so proud of you!!!

Catching Up!

I finally did it... I finally gave in and started a family blog. I never thought this day would come, yet here I am typing out a blog! Ha! There really is a first time for everything!

I have no idea how often I'll get on here and write, but I'm hoping in the very least to have some way to preserve our stories of our happenings, cause surprisingly I'm also not good at journal keeping or scrapbooking!

Here's a brief synopsis of our family.

Dylan is 5 years old and can't wait to turn 6 in July. He is also looking forward to playing baseball this summer. He is still in preschool and absolutely loves it! He is really into Star Wars, especially the Clone Wars. He is such a big boy now! I can't believe he is starting kindergarten this fall!

Anya is 2 years old! She learning so much, especially from her big brother. She'll follow him around all day! Sometimes playing with him and sometimes giving him grief! Poor Dylan! Anya loves swimming and McDonalds!! haha! She is such a cutie, she is getting to be so independent!

We still love our house! Our neighborhood is finally filling in. There's hardly and open lot anywhere! Thank goodness for Field Stone and thier ability to throw a house together in less than a month! HA!

Yesterday we went swimming and the kids got to use their new swim toys that they got fromt the Easter Bunny! Dylan got some spiderman arm floaties and just took off on his own swimming away!! Anya got a flower raft with a big leaf for some shade, she loves it. Those little legs were kicking so fast as mommy pushed her and kicked her down the pool, we made about ten laps or more! We got in the hot tub for a bit. The kids love to play with all the bubbles. We put em on our face like Santa Clause or make hats and such. Dylan asked for a bubble puppy. So I thought he wanted to know how to put bubbles on his face so he looked like a puppy. I got up and put some big floppy puppy ears on and I put some bubbles on my nose like a puppy and I stuck my tongue out and panted. He was like.."NO mommy, like this!!" All he wanted was for me to draw a puppy in the bubbles....Guess I'm a nut!! haha!

Today we walked home from school. Shoeshine still likes to be a free spirit and try to do his own thing. The kids had fun! Anya loved basking in the sun and Dylan even stopped to pick some flowers for mommy and Anya!! It's so warm out and yet I still miss the snow! I just want one more day to go snowboarding!!! But we all love being out in the warmth too!!
